About Me
Hi, Welcome to Dance Ambitions. I am Holly Mackie the creator of this space and I just want to let you know a little bit about myself.
I am a 23 year old Australian Dancer. I started dancing at the age of 3 in Gold Coast, QLD and I haven’t looked back since. I am currently in my 5th year of working overseas as a professional. My first dance job was at the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris where I started when I was 18. I then did 2 cruise ships with Celebrity Cruise Lines and now I have made my way back to the Moulin Rouge where I am currently dancing 2 shows a night, 6 days a week. I have also had the pleasure of teaching a lot of young dancers all over the Gold Coast and Tweed Heads area for about 8 years. I have a real passion for teaching as well.
Growing up I had the pleasure of training at many dance schools as I moved around a lot. I give my training credit to Craze Dance Academy in Inverell, NSW, The McDonald College in Sydney, NSW and Dance Force Oz in Tweed Heads, NSW.
I wanted to start this blog as I spent a lot of my childhood growing up in a small country town and didn’t have a lot of people around me who knew much about dance or had the answers to all my questions. There are so many things I know now that I wish I knew back then. I am excited to share my knowledge of not only the professional dance industry but also the things I learnt growing up as a dancer. I hope I inspire and provide the information you need to tackle this crazy industry.
